Dr. Findley has been
practicing in Albany, Georgia since graduating with
honors from the University of Louisville School of
Dentistry in 1974. He is a recipient of the prestigious
Fellowship and Mastership awards of the Academy of
General Dentistry as well as the degree of Diplomat from
the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and
holds certificates and fellowships from numerous implant
organizations.
He is a member of the American Dental Association,
Georgia Dental Association, Southwest District Dental
Society, and Albany Area Dental Society. As a past
officer and member of the Board of Directors of the
Georgia chapter of the Academy of General Dentistry, Dr.
Findley performed an active and instrumental role in
that organization. He also serves as “Associate
Faculty”, with the L.D. Pankey Institute for Advanced
Continuing Education in Miami, Florida, where he is an
alumnus and member of the Class One Triple Plus Club.
He is also a
member of the University of Louisville Second Century
|
Society. He was President of the Georgia Academy of
General Dentistry, 1995-1996. He is a graduate of Misch
Advanced Dental Implant Institute
and Misch Implant
Institute Advanced Prosthetics. He is on the Board of
Directors at the L.D. Pankey Institute. Additionally,
Dr. Findley is a member of the SimPlant Academy. He also
serves as adjunct Instructor for the Department of
Diagnosis Sciences, Prosthodontics, and Restorative
Dentistry, University of Louisville School of Dentistry.
His primary interest is in providing general dentistry
with emphasis on implants and crown and bridge, topics
on which he is a special lecturer to dental groups,
dental hygienists, and lay groups. He has been involved
in implant dentistry since 1985 and currently has
thousands, of dental implants in place with a success
rate in excess of 98%.
Dr. Findley recently received the prestigious Life Long
Learning and Service Recognition from the Academy of
General Dentistry. As of May 30, 2006 Dr. Findley is one
of twenty-one dentists in the world to receive this
recognition and one of two dentists in the state of
Georgia.
Dr.
Findley is an avid upland bird hunter – primarily quail.
He owns a number of bird dogs and keeps them kenneled at
his farm; therefore, from October to March, Dr. Findley
is passionate and avid about quail hunting – almost as
much as he is about his family and dentistry.
Dr. Findley is also an avid sportsman. He is involved in
all types of athletics from calisthenics and elliptical
machines, to treadmills, to jogging, to swimming, and to
tennis. His favorite sports are swimming, tennis and
basketball.
From a professional standpoint, Dr. Findley would not
have been in any other profession but dentistry. He is
passionate, enthusiastic, and very devoted to his
profession. Patients ask him when he is going to retire,
after having practiced for almost 33 years now, and
basically he says never; why would you retire from a
profession that you genuinely love and one where you are
able to work with such wonderful ladies in our practice
every day plus wonderful patients who trust us.
Dr. Findley is able to do many types of complex and
comprehensive care. Of course, this is not only
beneficial to the patient but also very stimulating to
Dr. Findley and his staff.
Dr. Findley also works with a number of exceptionally
fine dentists who refer patients for complex care. That
type of care includes implants, crown and bridge,
sedation, etc.
Dr. Findley is married to the former Judy Ann Livingston
from Baker County. They were married in 1969. Judy is
now basically a homemaker but for years she provided
expert help and assistance in our dental practice. She
is a very talented artist and wonderful Mother.
Dr. Findley and Judy have two sons: Carl III is 31 years
old and is a graduate student at the University of
Chicago. When he finishes his PHD he will more than
likely be a writer and college professor. Aaron is 28
years old and graduated in May 2007 from Austin
Presbyterian Seminary in Austin, Texas. He will take a
chaplain internship in Portland Maine for three months
in the summer of 2007 and then will be actively seeking
employment as a pastor in a Presbyterian church –
hopefully in the Southeast.
The Findley’s live on their farm in Worth County, and
they very much love the country.
